For a GREEN world !( Sesion 1&2)

This webquest is directed to  remodified the thought of the children; we want that the children are aware that for being green , they only have to do very simple and small actions. This session are  focused in the last year of Primary, with eleven-twelve years old children.

The first thing we have to do ,will be to introduce this image and  through a brainstorming students have to be able to guess the topic which all will work in the different sessions.

INTRODUCTION

Once students find out what the image is about, we will explain the activity they have to do.



TASK

They will have to find out what actions are appropriate to be ecological , what not and what are not relevant for being green.

PROCESS

1. They will get into groups of five (so there will be five groups).
2. Each group will have to find the information of the activity with the same resources.
3. The members of the group have to agree what is the most suitable information for each part. ( Ecological , not Ecological and Not mind).
4. One member of each group will expose their results to the class writing them on the blackboard.
5. Each group have to see what of the anwers they have, are different to the other groups.
6. Each member have to explain why they think that they have the correct answer.

RESOURCES

 EVALUATION

In the final evaluation, the teacher will consider the following aspects:

 - The active participation of all students in the activity.
 - The role played by each student in the activity.
 - How each memeber communicate with their peers (if sometimes uses Spanish, if  always use English but with errors or if the time he/she talk  properly).
 - The arguments used by each one (using the new vocabulary)  when they have to explain the differences of their activity with respect to the other groups.

CONCLUSION

With this webquest we hope that the children working in groups in an active form and with interactive activities get conscious about what they can do each day to be green and make a better world.
